Charlotte Tilbury Limited Edition: 'The Queen'

Earlier in the week, I purchased my first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick. I've never bought a lipstick as expensive and damaging to my bank account than this one, but I loved the colour so much that I just had to get it.
It's called 'The Queen' and it's a new one from the Matte Revolution range.

As i'd never bought anything from Charlotte Tilbury before, I was just expecting a lipstick, not the beautiful packaging that came along with it. When I received it from the post man, the outside of the box just looked normal,  but when I opened it, it was gorgeous and everything was wrapped so nicely. It even came with an envelope which had all my order details in it!

I unwrapped the layers of purple tissue (after taking many photos - naturally) and finally got to my lipstick. The box the lipstick was in looked so luxurious and I couldn't wait to get into it! Up until this point, I didn't think I could get any more impressed with this brand, but when I saw the actual lipstick with it's rose gold packaging I nearly cried. It's honestly one of the prettiest packaged lipsticks I've ever seen!
The colour is equally as gorgeous. It's a mix between red and pink and it's meant to resemble the crown jewels. When I put it on my lips, it felt really nice and the colour looked even better. The smell and taste (not that I've actively been eating it) is lovely too, it reminds me of the smell of a mac lipstick.

The lipstick has such a long wear too! I had it on for at least 4 hours while eating and drinking before I felt like I needed to touch it up a little bit. I think this was definitely worth the money I paid, and as soon as I have the funds, I will be purchasing something else from CT!

Let me know if you have any Charlotte Tilbury Products and what you recommend!

Lush Star Dust

Lush's Christmas and autumn/Halloween products came out recently, and it got a lot of people (me being one of them) very excited.

I love Lush all year round, but when I'm in the season of long hot baths, dark nights and candles I find myself taking many more (probably too many) trips to lush. So imagine my excitement when I took my weekly trip to lush to find the seasonal bath bombs out and stocked on the shelves. I picked up a few things from there, bath bombs such as northern lights, autumn leaf and the Christmas time classic 'so white'. Although, after trying them all (and loving them all) I have to say I've found my new fave Christmas bath bomb.
Star Dust is not only the cutest and in my opinion one of the most Christmas-esque bath bombs in the shop, but it is actually so inexpensive for a lush bath bomb, I mean £2.95 is a bargain in my eyes for this cute little guy. According to the lovely lady in lush, it was around last year but I definitely can't remember seeing it!

I ran my bath, got my new autumn PJ's out from next, made myself a hot chocolate and lit some candles. I plopped the bath bomb into the bath and just looking at it fizz away was so relaxing, the colour which was fizzing out was a gorgeous creamy white and I really do think it's one of the most visually relaxing bath bombs I've ever observed de-fizz in my bath. Just as I thought it couldn't get any better, I started seeing little tiny stars floating about in the water. At this point I couldn't wait any longer and basically dived into the bath.

After doing a little bit of research about these little stars, apparently they're edible..I can't say that I tried to eat them though, first of all they looked way too pretty floating about to stuff in my mouth, and second of all I really can't see them being actually put in the bath bomb to be eaten... if anyone has tried one of these supposedly edible stars let me know!

I stayed in my bath for as long as I could, totally relaxed, surrounded in tiny stars, white water and the smell of a subtle vanilla until I knew I had to get out (because Victoria was on ITV and I was NOT going to miss a royal wedding of any sort). My skin was so soft and had such a delicate smell of vanilla on it. Star dust contains oils to soften your skin, and it certainly did!

If you haven't tried this yet, I would 100% recommend..I can see myself with 15 of these bath bombs stocked up for when Christmas is over..I've got a little while yet though.

Whats your fave lush bath bomb? Let me know!

Stationery Haul

Does anyone else absolutely love shopping for stationery?
It makes me feel so organised knowing that I've got copious amounts of little notebooks to write things in and it makes it even better when they have pretty flowers and patterns on them!

I recently went shopping and as I'm going to be going back to college in a few weeks, I thought I should probably try and get a few of the pretty things before they're all gone!
TKmaxx is amazing for cute notebooks. They always have really good brands and for a really good price and I could spend hours and hours looking through all the stationary they have.
From TKmaxx, I picked up an American Crafts notebook. I've seen these before on Paperchase and I was going to order one, but I saw this one for half the price! It's so pretty and the pages have flowery borders and I just LOVE it.

I also got this 16/17 Planner. I feel like these kind of planners are so good, because I haven't got loads of empty pages at the start. I fell in love with this one, and it was the exact size I was looking for. All the dates are quite spaced out and it's one of my fave planners I've ever bought!

From WHSmith, I got just a normal pink A4 notebook, (that I didn't take a picture of) some flashcards and pens. Flashcards help me so much with revision, and I've got a feeling I'm going to be doing even more of it now that I'm in my last year of college. I also went into the works and saw the CUTEST pens!! They're gel pens and have the little dog on from the secret life of pets! I couldn't just leave them in the shop!

Buying things like this actually makes me excited to start back at college, and I'm sure I'll be buying more little things like this in the future!
Is anyone else obsessed with cute stationery?

Sunday Routine

For me, Sundays are usually the day I like to try and sort myself out for the week. It just makes me feel much more organised when everything has been done on a Sunday, and i'm much more relaxed and ready for the week ahead.
So I thought it would be nice to show you what I get up to on a Sunday!

When I wake up, I like to take all the sheets off my bed and put them in the washing machine (Sunday is clean sheets day). I think this makes it much easier for me to get things done as I'm not going to jump back into bed and scroll through Instagram for hours. I have breakfast and then start to get ready.

I then usually get in the shower and wash my hair. This wakes me up so a lot! I use the Aussie shampoo and conditioner and the soap and glory daily face wash. It's one of my faves and is really really gentle on my skin.

When I get out of the shower, If I have enough time before I go to work I let me hair dry on it's own while I do my make-up. Sunday for me is not really a day that I wear a lot of make-up. My Sunday staples include Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, Soap and Glory Archery eyebrow pencil, Soap and Glory Eyeliner Pen and my Sleek Bronzing palette.

After I've finished my make-up, I tidy my room up a little bit and then sit down with my planner, to do list and a cup of coffee. I think that writing down what you need to do organizes my thoughts really well and I feel like I know exactly what I need to do and by using my planner, I know exactly when I'm going to do it. After I've written down all the things I would like to do during the week (things like revision and planning a few meals (that usually never get made))  I start to get ready for work.

After I've finished work at 4, I get home and put my fresh bedding on (which makes me so excited). Now that my week is planned, I can start to chill out a little bit. Some one my fave things to do to relax a little bit on a Sunday is to catch up on youtube and have a bath. As it's summer, baths are few and far between but I do love having a long bath on a sunday night.

So this is what I get up to on a Sunday!
Do you do any specific things on a Sunday? Let me know!

Scrub Love Body Scrub Review

I haven't done this for ages...
But now that I'm back from my holiday I feel like it's the perfect time to start blogging again and it's always so much easier when you actually have something to talk about! Recently I tried out a body scrub from "Scrub Love" and it gave me the perfect reason to make a blog post!

I'd never tried a body scrub like this before, with me being a soap and glory addict, so when I was asked if I would like to try this out I was so excited!
When I got back from my holiday I found an amazingly cute package waiting for me, which made me even more excited to try it out! The same night I ran myself a bath, popped in a lush bath bomb and got my scrub ready at the side of my bath.

With it being mint scented I couldn't wait! I feel like mint is such a refreshing scent. I applied the scrub using circular motions onto my skin. Honestly the smell of this is absolutely amazing, it reminds me a little bit of mint choc chip ice cream (my fave flavour) and it feels so fab and gentle on the skin.

On the instructions it says to leave it on as long as possible for it to do the best job. So I left it on for most of my bath, I certainly didn't mind seeing as it's one of the nicest smelling scrubs I've ever used! When it was time for me to get out, I washed the scrub off and to my delight, I continued to smell very minty. It took me about 5 mins to get all the scrub off and my skin felt amazing! After getting out of the bath and getting dry, I didn't even put any moisturizer on! I know you're supposed to but I just really didn't feel like I needed too (I also didn't want to stop smelling like mint).

Honestly, I think this is one of my fave scrubs I've ever used - probably on the same level as soap and glory's breakfast scrub. But because this one is made from coffee, I just feel like it makes my skin look amazing! I would defo recommend this to anyone looking to try a new body scrub!

Have you ever tried a Scrub Love scrub?

*Thank you to Scrub Love for sending me this! Although, all opinions are 100% my own.

Sleek Solstice Highlighter

Today I went into superdrug and fell in love.
This is the Sleek Highlighter in Solstice, it's so gorgeous. There's lots of different highlights for different parts of your face and the packaging is beautiful.

I am actually in love with this, the purple highlight is for your brow bone and it's quite subtle and doesn't look too much, it adds just a little sparkle and I feel like it really finishes off my eye make-up. It's not a powder texture it's more like a cream highlight, which I really like because i feel like it will stay on for ages, and who doesn't want that?

The second one in the palette is called 'Hemisphere' and is a shiny purple. This is for your cheekbones and it looks so amazing and I've found myself looking in the mirror moving my head from side to side just watching it shimmer...is that weird?

The third one is a mix between white and yellow and it's to highlight down the bridge of the nose. It's called 'Subsolar' and is really subtle but really works, especially if you contour your nose.

The last one is a champagne-pink shade, and is called 'Equinox' and this one is to enhance your lips by using it on the cupids bow. I have to say, I hadn't actually heard of highlighting your cupids bow before but I feel like it makes my lips look a little bit plumper and completes my lipstick.

And the packaging is so pretty! It's like a gold - mirror effect and I just love it!
I would 100% recommend getting this if you're looking for a new highlight and this one was only £9.99 and considering it has 4 different highlighters I think that's really good!
Have you got a fave highlight?

a few things i've been loving

I haven't posted anything in forever ( I know i say that everytime) but I thought today I would share with you my recent favourites!

Obviously, one of my first faves is food. I bought these maryland cookies from the co-op a few days ago and i've been obsessed ever since. They're honestly so nice and probably my fave cookies of all time.

I picked up this essie nail polish recently in maximillian strasse her, it is honestly one of the best essie polishes i've ever used, you only need one coat to make them like in the picture and as you may know from my homeware haul, I love all shades duck egg, although fiji is yet to be replaced as my all time fave.

Ah look, another food fave.. I picked this up from tesco recently and thought it would accompany pj's and old episodes of all the midwife quite well, and it certainley did. Although, just a heads up the cherries are NOT sweets and are in fact, real cherries so...they could count as your 5-a day?? maybe???

When I was in Bath a few months ago, I picked up a few things from soap and glory. One heck of a blot and the kick ass powder concealer are so amazing, especially when you're out and about and want to fix your make-up on the go! The kick ass cream concealer is brill for dark circles under your eyes and if you look like you haven't slept for weeks (like me) this is perfect for you and I would defo recommend.
I've spoken about this before but the naked 3 pallet keeps returning into my life and i keep returning to love it. Recently I've been using it a lot, especially the matte shades and as my eyeshadow skills continue to grow (slightly) i'm sure i will continue to use this.

So those are my recent favourites. Granted, a few are food but you're lying if you say you don't love some specific items of food as much as makeup...
have you got anything you've been loving lately?
